Don't forget that you can print this (or any) recipe using the "Print Friendly" button at the foot of each post. It's a great little feature that allows you to remove any pictures (or any text that isn't relevant to the recipe) before printing. That can save on ink and paper & in today's economy, who doesn't want to save a little cash when you can?!
Oh I can't wait! We are trying new things this year and I purchased some awesomely cool side-dishes from the Cajun place I purchase my Turducken (like seafood dressing and Shrimp & Mirliton dressing). I needed something to do with the potatoes that was different, and with the green veggies - and you solved my problems. Well, except NOW I can't decide which one to try... what a cool "problem" to have. I may just have to do both the brussel sprouts and the broccoli! HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY DEAR E-FRIEND!!
ReplyDeleteI so hope you enjoyed whatever it was that you took from this post, Nan! Happy that I might have been some help!
DeleteI want so much to like a larger variety of root vegetables, but I just can't seem to get there!!! I love asparagus (as long as it isn't limp ans weird!), potatoes, carrots, broccoli and spinach, but those Brussels sprouts....I just can't wrap my lips around 'em! I have tried and tried and tried, but they just won't let me! Maybe it's the weird name. I don't eat foods with weird names (e.g., eggplant, braunschweiger, scallops). There is something seriously wrong with me! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI hope your Thanksgiving was good!
LOL! You are too funny, girl! There's nothing wrong with you at all, my friend. We all have our own likes and dislikes and if certain veggies don't rock it for you, that's just fine. If you've never tried sprouts done with balsamic, I would definitely recommend that you give them another shot. Even folks who've said they never liked them, have been pleasantly surprised when they've tried them that way. I had a great Thanksgiving! I hope you did too and that you're more and more on the mend every day!
